DMT SQL Backup Manager: DMT SQL Backup Manager is a powerful tool for creating, compressing and protecting your SQL Server backups. Compatible with SQL Server 2000 and 2005, it includes a range of features to make backups faster, simpler and more secure. When you use SQL Backup, your backup files are usually 50% to 90% smaller than native SQL Server backups. The compression you can achieve depends upon the type of data stored in the database; if the database contains a lot of highly-compressible data, such as text and uncompressed images, you can achieve higher compression. SQL Backup also enables you to encrypt your backup files to prevent unauthorized access. This is especially important because compressed backups are much smaller and, therefore, you are much more likely to transfer them over the network. You can use SQL Backup to create full database backups, differential database backups, transaction log backups, and file or filegroup backups. You can use SQL Backup Pro to back up databases on remote SQL Servers.
