AstoundStereo Expander for Windows
|
AstoundStereo Expander for Windows: The AstoundStereo Expander is a software application that runs thru Windows Media Player 11 or higher on your PC. It takes stereo audio as input and produces a significantly wider stereo image, while preserving center information (e.g. vocals or center staged instruments), in real time. The result is a wider, fuller and richer listening experience that can be heard while playing music or streaming media, excluding commercial DVDs and Digital Rights Managed (DRM) audio.
After installing the software, the AstoundStereo Expander automatically starts when you begin playing compatible audio within Windows Media Player. Controlling AstoundStereo is simple and intuitive. Use the Desktop icon to view AstoundStereo Expander. Once running you can close AstoundStereo Expander to the System Tray (lower-right portion of the Windows Task Bar), then click on our System Tray icon to open the view. There are two primary controls:
- The Enable/Disable button turns AstoundStereo Expander on and off
- The intensity slider allows you to adjust the amount of stereo expansion from Less to More
- Hot Keys allow you to control the expansion using keyboard short-cuts, even when AstoundStereo Expander application is not visible
You can hear the AstoundStereo effect through your computer's built-in stereo speakers, headphones, or external stereo speakers connected to your computer. Another great way to hear AstoundStereo is to connect the line-out (headphone) jack of your computer to an available input on your home stereo receiver.
