e-VU: e-VU has been developed by Intelligent Filing to fulfill the document management needs of sole traders, small businesses and large departments. Based on core EMDS functionality of scanning, indexing, archiving and retrieving, e-VU allows you to take total control of your documents with ease, while retaining simplicity in operation. At the heart of e-VU is our search technology which can rapidly search tens of thousands of indexed documents in seconds. The search interface has been re-designed to provide straight forward operation for users of all levels. Data capture has been enhanced with version 2 of e-VU with the inclusion of an Optical Character Recognition (OCR) Server. This powerful addition can reduce the time it takes to index documents by automatically extracting data. Fully manual indexing can also be carried out using the Indexing facility. e-VU's document capture supports the use of any TWAIN compatible scanner, but transferring documents into the e-VU system is not only limited to scanned documents. The facility to import any electronic document is provided as standard providing a central location for all data storage.
