AppDog: AppDog is a software watchdog program, checking if specified other programs are running, and restarting them if required. Hanging applications can be killed and restarted automatically. With an extra hardware connected to a serial port, an administrator can be alarmed if Windows hangs or other severe problems occur. Configuration is done by editing an .ini file. Optional file backup function with configurable interval. AppDog should be used if critical applications should run 24 h a day, 7 days a week.

Now uses WM_NULL test messages to check if an application is working properly.
