UserGate Proxy Server: Usergate proxy server is a comprehensive Internet management tool designed to connect local network users to the Internet using only one connection line and protect your local network from hacker attacks. It provides a centralized control over all connections, utilized bandwidth and the time users spend online; automates calculation of traffic consumed, billing and Internet usage reporting.
UserGate provides a flexible network administrating with the help of "rules" - predefined scenarios. For example, without any human intervention, the program can shift the user billing plan from regular to special, based on the web addresses visited, date, or specified time; it can restrict Internet access based on the user’s time online, daily or monthly traffic limits, IP-addresses, URL strings, or specified traffic speed limits. The administrator can view a detailed status of active sessions for each user, including IP address, user name, bytes sent or received, and visited URLs. By setting URL filtering policies, the administrator can restrict access to irrelevant websites, set up ad filters and prevent bandwidth abuse. UserGate includes statistics module that allows creating various reports on Internet usage and exporting them to MS Excel as well as automated e-mailing of detailed Internet statistics to users.
